Texas Families Together An Online Discussion… Summer Style! (June-July 2020)

We are excited to share that the Texas Families Together Tuesday gatherings will continue through July!

At your request, we’re changing it up a bit for the Summer. The 10:00 and 6:00 hours will remain an open discussion. The 3:00 hour will be a conversation on a specific topic. This Tuesday, June 2nd, we’ll talk about basic strategies for children and adults who are visually impaired/deafblind. Please join us if your Summer schedule allows. We also appreciate you helping spread the word to other families.

One family member has shared…

“The group meetings have meant a great deal to me. They have allowed me to voice my concerns about distance learning in a safe, caring and respectable environment. It’s always nice to know that there are others in the same boat. It has been helpful to talk with professionals about what we are going through. It finally gave me the approval to stop being so hard on myself and to take some time to just breathe and to see the good in every day.”

Session Information:

Exclusively for adult family members with children and adults who are visually impaired or deafblind.

We appreciate professionals honoring this families-only event. To learn more about current training opportunities for both families and professionals, please visit www.tsbvi.edu/outreach.
